Our Story · Since 2014

Meet our founder

It all began with Rajeshree Nanda

In 2014, Rajeshree Nanda knew very little about the world of beauty parlours. Then a government campaign for women’s empowerment came to Jamnagar, teaching women practical skills — makeup, threading, waxing, cooking and more.

She signed up, learned everything she could, and began practising that very year. Eyebrows came first — and they quickly became her mastery. Her first customers paid just ₹10, at her own doorstep.

Ten years and more than 10,000 happy customers later, hers is a trusted name in Jamnagar’s beauty parlours — and every bridal look and every outfit that leaves our shop still carries that same care.

Our Journey

Ten years, one chapter at a time

From a doorstep in Jamnagar to a full parlour and rental studio — the road so far.

  1. Chapter 01 · 2014

    A lesson that changed everything

A government women-empowerment campaign taught local women beauty-parlour skills — makeup, threading, waxing, even cooking. Rajeshree joined with little experience and a lot of curiosity.

  2. Chapter 02 · 2014

    ₹10 eyebrows, from home

Later that same year she began practising what she had learned. Eyebrows came first — her true speciality — at just ₹10 each, right from home. Makeup and other parlour services soon followed.

  3. Chapter 03 · 2015–16

    The neighbourhood started knocking

Word spread. Women from around the area began coming to the house for eyebrows, makeup and more — the first loyal customers of what would become Shree.

  4. Rajeshree Nanda with a group of women she trained, each holding her beauty-parlour course certificate

    Chapter 04 · 2016

    From learner to teacher

The government invited Rajeshree back — this time as a trainer. She taught the same skills to many new women, and watching them receive their certificates — ready to start on their own — passed on the empowerment that had started her own journey.

  5. Chapter 05 · 2017

    Our first shop

We rented our first shop and started small: makeup, bridal makeup, eyebrows, waxing and the full range of beauty-parlour services.

  6. Chapter 06 · 2017

    Five lehengas and an idea

Later that year came a new idea — wedding outfit rentals. We started with just five lehengas, and the response was so good that rentals became a whole new side of Shree.

  7. Chapter 07 · 2018

    Cholis for Navratri

The next year we brought in cholis for Navratri, then outfits for the wedding season — and season after season, the business kept running smoothly.

  8. Chapter 08 · 2020

    The pause

Then came Corona. For nearly a year there was no business, and we had to close the rented shop. Our regulars still came home for eyebrows — and that kept the spirit alive.

  9. Chapter 09 · 2021

    Back in business

We decided it was time to come back. We rented a new shop close to home and restarted with around ten cholis — and a lot of hope.

    Chapter 10 · Today

    10,000+ happy customers and counting

Today Shree is a trusted name among Jamnagar’s beauty parlours. We keep 100+ outfits in stock for weddings and Navratri — refreshed every year, as older pieces are sold to make way for new ones — alongside a full parlour: bridal makeup, makeup, waxing, hair wigs, hairstyling and much more.

And that’s how we turned ten.

What drives us

Built by a woman, for every woman

The values that have carried Shree from ₹10 eyebrows to a full studio.

  • Skill, shared

We were built on a skill someone taught us — and we have passed it on to many women since. Empowerment is where we come from.

  • Beauty with care

From a simple eyebrow to a complete bridal look, every customer gets the same patient, personal attention.

  • Rentals for every celebration

Outfits for weddings and Navratri, refreshed every year — so you can wear something new and special without buying it.

  • Part of Jamnagar

Our neighbours were our first customers. Ten years on, our city’s celebrations are still our celebrations too.
